Bolton Away has been pay on the day for the last 20 years, Not once has it been ticket only.

Its pay on the day :thumbright:

Reading will be pay on the day.

What your trying to do is give another excuse for poor away support, even if it was not pay on the day,all the away games should be virtually sold out any way in our position.

AND YES WE SHOULD SAY ITS PAY ON THE DAY IF ITS BEEN SAID AT AN OFFICIAL SUPPORTERS CLUB MEETING ORGANISED BY OUR CLUB & THEM IN ATTENDANCE :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Plus if u wait for our club to say,as u usually use as another excuse, its to late for fans to decide to go

SO IF WE GET INFO FROM CLUB WE PUT IT OUT STRAIGHT AWAY HELPING OUR FANS :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Or is it the latest excuse from you.

90% OF OUR AWAY GAMES ARE PAY ON THE DAY :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Why would I want to put fans off ????????

Are you for real? What I will do is tell people the truth, don't go saying Bolton is pay on the day when you don't have that authority to guarantee it. Would you be happy if people drove to Bolton and then got refused entry based on your advise cos I know I wouldn't.

Bolton say it is and thats where we are playing, like Lawnmower said City like to keep it till the last moment :thumbright:

Best thing to do for all games is just get a ticket in advance.

It's better all round for the club and authorities to plan stewarding, policing , segregation etc...

For the record Annis 2012 / 13 at Bolton was definitely not pay on the gate. Take it from me I was there an hour before kick complete with 4 kids ranging from 8 - 12 years old and there was absolutely no way they would let us in. Fortunately Vince came to the rescue.

Now I feel able more than most to talk on this. Over the last 20 years I've probably pitched up at an away ground without a ticket more than most. I always get in but it can be anxious and on very many occasions there's been no more than the odd ticket floating about. I've had dozens off Vince, a good few from Lindsey and the late Jeff Richards used to chip in with a few. I've even had a couple off Tim on here.

Clearly the number of grounds you can pay on the day has increased mainly as a consequence of our behaviour improving but it wont be 90% even this year. You couldn't at Bristol City and I doubt you'll be able to pay at Millwall or Leeds. You haven't in the past been able to pay at Wolves or Forest but I had a tickets for those this year so not sure whether you could have or not. The last few years you've been able to pay at Norwich but you certainly couldn't 4 or 5 years ago and it nothing to do with us selling our allocation. At one time you couldn't pay at Ipswich but I suspect they've probably relaxed that now.

If paying on the day is inconsistent then information about whether you can or not is even worse. Last year I bought tickets from the ticket kiosk for Reading - in my memory it was one of the very few occasions where there was clear prior notification that this could happen. Tomorrow there's now doubt - I've got tickets for tomorrow although I was taking someone with me who hasn't.

Last year at Brentford they announced very late there would absolutely no payment on the day. I had family on their way down from Kettering specifically for the game. Got to the turnstiles - not a ticket to had anywhere. About 15 minutes before kick off I thought I might as well give the ticket office a go. 4 away tickets handed over no problem but that after categorically being told they weren't on sale.

I was just talking to Carl, your right on that my apologies to RV Casual on that :thumbright:
But Bolton has been all the other times and I have been told it will be this time.

As to Brentford usually is ticket only ever since we turned up with 5,500 :thumbright:

Our club regarding Away tickets are def not good with info.

But 90% of our Away games are pay on the gate and have been for last 4-5 years but for some reason our club does not help us

I agree, but it isn't going to happen any time soon.

Perhaps pushing for 2 tickets per member would be a start

I'd also like to point out that after Bolton away memberships will be just £10 for adults and £5for kids.

So for a small outlay you can give yourself a better chance of being at the big games toward the end of the season too.

Brentford will be a sell out, and there's Villa, Sheff Utd , QPR,and Derby away all to come... as well as Leeds, Sheff Weds Millwall, and for the mad ones Ipswich, Norwich and Hull !

I will ignore in future as all I want to do is help our fans :bluebird:

Because you use every excuse why fans don't go and this is one of them, but really it should not matter because if u want to go u buy a ticket, simple :D
The excuses are poor and boring, other clubs don't use them.

I will state again, Since 1978 its been pay on the day at Bolton and it is this time :thumbright: Shall we see who is right, simple, lets see :thumbright: :thumbright:

Bolton say its pay on the day? So if I ring Bolton tomorrow and say I'm a Cardiff City fan will there be a cash turnstyle for me to pay on the day they will tell me yes? is that what your saying as I will ring them in the morning and post on here what they say?

Ring them, but they will prob say speak to your club

On a serious note, its always been pay on the day up there for us due to our poor turn outs, the away end holds 5,000 and we take 350,500,800 etc :thumbright: :thumbright:

I will still stand by this one, its pay on the day :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Reading was our club who said it was :thumbright: :thumbright:

Annis, Is this pay on the day by any chance??? :laughing6:

:laughing6:

I'm just trying to help get our away supporter bigger, but the usual suspects what to help make more excuses

I even have a topic at the top of the site, which I have updated a lot to help gets more fans to travel to help the team and then the one with more excuses than any fan in the Country, calls me a liar, you could not make it up

I will ignore in future as all I want to do is help our fans :bluebird:

Annis, Its appreciated by most :thumbright:

I've seen first hand how difficult it is to arrange trips so any help for these hard working people should be appreciated.

To be fair to Tim I don't have to do anything when going away with him.
He even sorts my tickets and I pay him on the day. ( I know others do this too, Dibs etc )

You should arrange a message board away day :ayatollah:

I take my hat to Vince, Tim, Dibs, Carl etc your there to be shot down by the usual suspects.

I ran coaches to Away games for 15 years, it's hard work, all I do is try and help and persuade fans to follow City and get behind them :thumbright: :bluescarf:

Its tough times as I don't think many will return yet. My old man hasn't been for a good 4 years.
He does the odd away game but that's for the crack with his mates I think.
Hopefully we can get promoted and stay up for a year - that would bring our support right up :thumbright:

Liam,

Its going to be quite a hard long slog to get many fans to return and thats why we need to be united as a fanbase :bluescarf: :bluescarf: , not trying to divide and find faults in fans who try to help. :thumbright: :bluebird: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:
