First-half
It was not the greatest half of football you’ll see from Cardiff City this season. Junior Hoilett and Danny Ward stood out.

More creation by both clubs,but evenly matched.

A slow start from both clubs, with nothing created for the first 15mins.

After 35 mins,there was little to separate the two teams.


It was not the greatest half of football you’ll see from Cardiff City this season. Junior Hoilett and Danny Ward stood out.

There was very little attacking threat in this team.

Cardiff struggled to find a way through Barnsley's defence.


It remained a really scruffy, ugly contest.

Bruno Manga and Sol Bamba were heading everything away, that Barnsley threw at them.



64th min Barnsley did a double substitution.

71st min Gunnarsson was replaced by Damour.

There was not much between both teams tonight.


In the 83min - Barnsley player Hammill cleared off the line but his clearance rocketed off Paterson and in. 0-1

Annis this is a huge win with Sheffield united losing keeps pressure on the other teams up there. Winning ugly is good signs of promotion, we've seen that past two games although wasn't there tonight, will be getting my forest tickets tomorrow I can't wait

Massive win tonight, in a game where many of us would have been happy with a draw.

Now up to 2nd in the league, so we have every reason to be pleased tonight

Terrible match lets be honest but away wins at Barnsley on cold Tuesday nights are vital.

Bamba was immense at the back and Bryson must be the fittest player at the club. Closed everything down...

a scrappy 1-0 win away from home on a cold Tuesday night is definetly the sign of promotion candiates

We are staying right in the fight and we're still approaching every game with that underdog mentality! Great win up there. All about grinding these ones out.

Patterson definitely wasn't MOM, struggled playing on the wing.

Manga was faultless from start to finish and probably our best player going forward.

Bamba and Hoilett both worth a shout.

It's games like these we will get away with, Warnock will cost us in the long run with bad timing of subs.

Good win nonetheless.

just travelling back on supporters coach, love nights like tonight, not many of us there,yet we let them know we were here, get of your backsides and get to Nottingham

This type of away win against a decent side makes a massive difference. A draw would have been more than satisfactory but the extra two points helps make up for home draws and upsets.

3 pts in a scrappy game is what it's all about!

We are solid throughout and without Laing, Zohore and a few others got all the hall marks of the MM promotion but we can score!
