Is there a free antivirus software that will clear any ‘threats’ from a laptop for free?

I’ve tried TotalAV and scanguard but as soon as I click resolve to sort out 4 issues it’s found it asks for me to pay to upgrade. I don’t mind paying but unsure if they are real antivirus programs. Not the best with technology

Does the free version allow you to remove anything that they find on a scan?

Generally any anti virus pay or free will isolate or remove anything found! Only thing about free stuff you get prompts to upgrade or add different products just ignore these
Ps will have to remove or disable any antivirus you already have on machine as usually they conflict

yeah they are pretty good, they keep updating to tackle new problems, you can run as many full pc scans as you wish, any viruses found they eliminate I have it on my pc and its pretty amazing so far, even with the free version, you get a month trial to part of the premium version which can help your computer performance.
