f*cking Highways Authority! :banghead: :banghead:

Trying to get around the country after about 8pm at night is an absolute nightmare if you are trying to use the motorway system.

Left Barnsley at 10pm.

M1 South was closed - diverted.

Got to by Ross - M50 was closed. Diversion took us about 40 miles out of our way.

Got to the Brynglas tunnels - closed.

Eventually got to bed at about 4.20am.

Great to win the game but honestly, the hassle of the travelling back after a midweek away game is enough to make it very understandable why most people don't bother with these sort of trips.

David, fair play good on you :thumbright: :bluebird: but your right a nightmare to get back. I noticed the last 5-6 years the road works and road closures were getting worse.

I rem going to Blackburn away in the night and had a flight following day at 6.20am to Spain.
Got back at 3.30am, then had to rush to airport from house to Bristol airport.
Would of gone straight there but was in a car full of my friends.

Boro away on a Tuesday night, 2yrs ago, pure ice on roads back had to drive 20-30 miles an hr.

Our sat nav warned us about the M50 closure, we went down the M5 and over the bridge! feel sorry for anyone that wasn't warned about it prior

in the car we got back to Bridgend at 1:55am including a 20 minute stop at Strencham on the way home

The supporters' club coach was back at the stadium about ten to four. Credit to the drivers, it was a difficult route with all the roadworks. Great trip, as always. :bluescarf:
