I vigorously defend our crowds on here as much as anyone but today has shocked me I won't lie, especialy when you factor in Brentford brought not far off 1,000. We haven't got any attractive away games coming up for people to save money for? 18-19,000 I would have said standard but 16,000 is shit I have to say not Im going to defend that.

Football just isn't as big as a lot ofor people think it is in South Wales full of glory hunters and day trippers.

Very true they will come back at the end of the season if we are top two.

Your spot on Steve, and it is very sad to see the truth.

Our home average is dropping all the time.

The rugby will always have a big effect, some go to the games and most just like the idea of a piss up on rugby days. I know season ticket holders who went to the rugby.

I'm pretty sure that's always been the case over the years so nothing new. If we keep up the form coming into Christmas people will want half season tickets. That's the way to improve attendances.

Why bother with trying to get the valleys suppport all the time? I think we have good followers from there already, it’s the far bigger market of the city itself and say penarth, some 400,000 odd right on the doorstep that currently appear to have better things to do.....how many came down today from the valleys on free transport? I bet not that many who weren’t coming already.

South Wales has to be the worst for glory hunters anywhere in the uk, look at wales in the Euros, I saw people going who have never dreamt about football, in fact taken the piss about it....

Luke, Those season ticket holders are still counted in the miserable attendance of 16,355 incl nearly 1,000 Brentford fans.

Wales v Georgia in a friendly a nobody, can't be our excuse as if you really look attendances have in the last 6 weeks been dropping of.
We had a 3pm Sat, what many on here said we are missing.

If the match had been put last night, fans would of used that as excuse.

The truth is, excuses have run out, We are a club with some great /loyal fans but the ones who join once promoted or in our final couple of big games are "GLORY HUNTERS/FICKLE FANS".

Sadly as you've all realised our club is well supported.

I don't know who is running things down there but I think today would have shocked them and I'm waiting for the offers to come out for the Norwich and Preston Friday night games now or lets be honest we could be looking at a sub 15,000 crowd for one or both.

I don't know what the answer is, I can only speak on what I here from my mates and those I know and to be honest the truth his for most the buzz has gone AND people find it boring.

Personally, I'v got to be honest I do find it hard down there at times, its like a morgue.

Not far off what I predicted, was to be expected.

Good shout fella,I really didn’t expect to break 16k.

Its so sad we have to think that low of our support

It is sad to see poor support when the team is doing well but if some fans don’t want to go there’s not much that an be done.

Your right the Club has virtually been giving tickets away for a top 3 Championship club and yet the crowds are getting worse

Steve,, I personally have NO feel at all for the stadium, I can't see our club doing many more cheap tickets and they should not have to,we are cheap enough as it is, plus the virtual give away half-season tickets.

Our crowds are getting worse than when Malky took us up, You all said they were similar, but I knew they were not as you all forgot about the massive away supports from Villa,Leeds etc and other clubs have increased their away supports to us.

hmm - don't know what to make of the crowd today. in these circumstances you'd expect another 1500-2000.

i also hear they were running ticket promotions. i think we need a fresh start under a new owner, personally. warnock deserves a united club, and we will never have that with tan and his stooges running the place.

I've studied our crowds right back to 1920 when we were first admitted to the league.what stands out is we are quite capable of getting a huge crowd on a one off basis but the season long averages are poor.sorry folks but my take on it is football rugby whatever this area will turn up for the big event the bread and butter run of the mill game not interested.

I've studied the same and we are a three times a season club, turn up for the glory/big games.
I knew that all along, BUT I honestly thought we might have changed as the last 17 years have been good to us over all, if you take away the Rebrand, that sent us backwards bigger than anything. The Glory fans did not care, but it hurt the majority of the Diehard City fans more than some realise.

The Cardiff metropolitan area makes up over a third of the total population of Wales, with a 2016 population estimate of about 1,100,000 people, thats a massive area to pull fans from, with No other major football club near by. :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluescarf:
