Ian Lavery MP received £165,000 from the 10-member trade union he ran.

We have learned this from the trade union regulator which has now released a report into Mr Lavery's actions as general secretary of the NUM Northumberland Area.

He will now face questions on his record over a number of disputed payments by the union he ran.

Mr Lavery, who is the chairman of the Labour Party.

Ian Lavery is a coming power in the land, Jeremy Corbyn's general election joint co-ordinator and chairman of the Labour Party.

its politicians ..playing ..with politics , being a socialist should mean something.

Being a public servant should mean something. They are there to represent the people not take us for every penny.

I really dont get this post as Trade Union and Labour party are linked there would not have been one without another as a trade union member I pay my political levy, which I could withdraw from at any time , I allow/vote on my union via branch meetings to direct the funds to the Labour party for causes that we feel we believe in and if that is to get Jeremy Corbyn elected so be it.

The Labour party does not have many big self interest companies donate unlike the conservative party the majority of Labour party funds comes from the trade union movement.

Which bit is not true? It was the official watchdog of the trade unions who first came out with this, and was then reported by virtually every newspaper in the country. If this is rubbish, they are all going to be forking out a lot of money in compensation.
