Molineux has arguably never been such an attractive destination.

With Chinese conglomerate Fosun International providing Wolves with unpreceded financial muscle and the connections of super-agent Jorge Mendes giving the club access to some of the most exciting talents in Portuguese football, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have emerged as genuine promotion favourites.

And that is the least anyone expected considering the stature, and the quality, of the players who arrived in the Midlands over the summer. Not least Porto captain Ruben Neves, a player frequently courted by the Premier League and who cost a Championship record £15.8 million, per the BBC.
And that’s without mentioning Diogo Jota, arguably the league’s standout player in 2017/18, who is expected to turn his loan move from Atletico Madrid permanent in January for £14 million, per The Mirror (October 16th, page 46).

But will teenage left-back Ruben Vinagre follow in Jota’s footsteps? According to Record, Wolves are hoping to make the 18-year-old’s loan from Ligue 1 champions Monaco permanent in January.
