National League club Bromley have signed former Wolves, Birmingham and Cardiff centre-back Roger Johnson on a short-term deal.

Johnson, who started his career at Wycombe, also had a spell with Indian Premier League side Pune City in 2015.

He was named in the starting line-up for Bromley's FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie against Dover on Saturday.

He was a very good player for us and had a good career at a decent level.Just feel it could have been even better if it wasn't for his drink problems

A very good signing from Wycombe and a steal for their then club captain - think if I not mistaken about 250/275k. A very good player for us. I was gutted when he left but did think he would go on to bigger and better things but don't think he quite achieved his full potential. He was on the fringes of the England squad at one point but never got the call up.

On their day him and Loovens were an excellent centre back pairing.
