Cardiff City still only have two defeats in their opening 12 League Games, over a quarter of the season gone.

They travelled to Birmingham as the Championship leaders last night and still are after todays results.

The 337 hardy souls that made the long trip to Preston on a Tuesday night in September witnessed a truly miserable display in what was a rare blip from the Bluebirds this season.

But 1,301 headed up to St Andrew's, with each and every one giving the Bluebirds their full backing until the death, despite witnessing a truly poor performance from the men on the field against a side buoyed by the arrival of their new manager.

With just two defeats from their opening 12 league matches, it's not often the Cardiff faithful have gone home from a game feeling glum this season, much to the credit of Warnock and his players.

And as we've seen already - particularly in the home matches against Leeds and Aston Villa and the away clashes with Fulham and Wolves - when those in the stands are bouncing, the Bluebirds are capable or doing some pretty special things.

Now Neil Warnocks players will be looking for a big away following away at Middlesborough, which is pay on the day for Cardiff fans and our allocation is 3,000. :bluebird: :bluebird:

Be Neil Warnocks 12th man at Home or Away games, Cardiff City fans can make the Difference, Ask Len Ashurts, Eddie May, Frankie Burrows and Malky Mackay :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

For the position we are in we should take 1,000 plus.

But I reckon 500-600.

I have been to Boro on our last 7 visits Alex and hardly anyone has gone on the last 4 visits, so not many can say they are bored of going.

We took 89 fans and 130 on our last 2 visits.

Were t those 2 midweek ones ?

The Boro trip is the 4 th longest for any club in the Championship. To stick it on a Tuesday is shameful.

Mind you we took nearly 4K up there for the cup game for an early k.o

I've got a bit more interest for this then Sunderland so maybe we'll get 6-800 up there

Yes they were Tim and I drove 4hrs each way, but to see only 89 fans up there for me was very low, most non league teams don't take that low.

Your right we took nearly 4,000 for the FACUP Quarter Final :thumbright: :thumbright: live on tv early kick=off, yet fans moan about going to Bristol City for an early kick-off

We've got a coach running, starting in the Cynon Valley as we are sharing with them and picking up Nantgarw, Coryton roundabout and High X.

Anyone interested please PM me.

Thanks Annis.
We are sharing a coach and have some space.
The long trips are a nightmare for the coach organisers as the coach hire is more as you need 2 drivers and far less fans want to go.

Unfortunately last season or 2 we've had more and more away games up North.

It's a long day for fans, but brilliant on the times we get a result and the manager and players certainly seem to appreciate it

Regarding the heading to this thread, I must say I'm not really sure that it's true, certainly as far as away games go.

As fans, we like to feel that our unwavering and vocal support can spur the team on to dig deep and produce better performances but I've been in away crowds where there have been thousands of us and the players have played terribly poorly, no matter how good the fans have been.

I've also been away where there have been only a hundred or so where the team performance has been excellent. Indeed, I remember we won away at Leeds a few seasons ago where we had no fans at all (and also at Wolves when Moxey banned us and the balloon never got off the ground  ).

So I have to say I feel that the amount of away fans and the support they give only very rarely may make a slight difference to the team's performance on the pitch.
