" NEIL WARNOCK LETS CARDIFF CITY PLAYERS "

Sat Oct 07, 2017 6:22 pm

Neil Warnock has let all the Cardiff players not on Internationsl duty have a break with their families during the international break.

Quite a few have gone away and rightly so. Great man management. :thumbright: :bluebird:

correction - its good management if the team are at the top of the league.

to many on this forum, anything and everything warnock does is great management. if this was dave jones and we were in a poor patch, would you have said its evidence of a poor work ethic? let's be fair.

While I agree Warnock can do no wrong, there is a big difference between the two.

Reports from ex players say that Dave Jones had his favourites and treated players differently.

Warnock has been described as the ultimate Manmanger and this highlights why, those players will come back and run through walls for him you watch.

He is the best Manager we have had by a country mile :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

treating players differently? look at how taarabt got special treatment at QPR. having favourites? warnock signed paddy kenny about 10 times, has signed players multiple times.

i just think we need to have a bit of perspective. each fan is entitled to their opinion, and if some people think warnock is the greatest thing since sliced bread, fair enough.

i'm more sceptical but i fully acknowledge his immediate and continued positive impact at the club since he's been here.

That's exactly how Dave Jones was and what I was told he was arrogant, rude and unfair , let players take the piss if they were his favourites.

to be fair, i've heard pretty bad things from a contact at rotherham about warnock, and who also had some very interesting information on the corruption allegations. i suppose how someone is depends on who you speak to, at the end of the day. we all have friends and enemies

True

But Warnock is respected by football fans, Dave Jones was not, plus DJ was a bottler.

But we're not in a poor patch so it's not really a fair or relevant question is it?

Was speaking to an ex pro on Friday. Although he hadn't had the pleasure of working under NW himself. Many of his peers have.

His exact words... He's the ultimate man manager.

Who am I to argue.

Don't get the point your making here sorry fella

If it was a poor patch under Warnock giving them a break wouldnt be a good decision.

If we were Top of the league and Jones gave the players some extra R&R as a reward for their excellent work so far - it would also be a good decision.

Your essentially moaning because your apples don't taste orange enough!

Dave Jones = horrible man with a rather large chip on his shoulder, very poor motivator who got found out after he left us, especially in his last job, and it will be is last managment job!

Dave Jones arrived at a club that had less than 3k season ticket holders...left when there was 18k.
many players played the best football of their careers under him ..very strange for such a poor motivator.
truth be told different players react to being treated in different ways. has ZERO to do with favouritism has everything to do with getting the best possible performance.
and yeah great shout...found out at his last job..yes Ian Rush was found out at his last club too

Think the players still away - clearly not great man management

A shocking performance - seemed to have lost the ability to pass the football, instead long balls and bypass the midfield and created nothing.

They spent the last 2 weeks intensive training on set plays etc. We spent it at home with the kids. Aww that’s nice...

Dobbins, gutted by how they returned and played.

Totally - no one put in a shift and they wanted it more. It's one of those things if it works he is a genius if it doesn't he gets slated. However when there is a new manger in and they have spent the last two weeks working on everything you know they will come out and want it - we did not. It had the game if we can just turn up and win very aimiliar to Preston.

The club I work at have had eight players away on international duty with six starting in both matches. Those that did not travel have had one day off due to Spanish bank holiday. All players returned to squad Thursday after trips to Faro, Portugal and Greece.

We play tonight so will be interesting to see how we do against a side that has none representing their country.

Lots of factors but was just giving my club as an example.

The manager choose not to give the players any time off and it worked - we will only know at the end of season if and when fatigue sets in

Massive game next week we play the side that stopped our 14 league titles in a row last season and cleaned up domestically.

On a side note - They played TNS first round of champions league and but them in Wales but lost at home.

We have already had the equiviliant of the community shield and we beat them on penalties so makes for a good match next weekend. Was on the bench for that doing all the subs slips and board to give to fourth official - surprising what you see and how you see a game from there compared to the stands.

sorry mate but no comparison between the levels of fitness in the championship and part timers in the gib league..
Warnock who has managed at a very decent level for 30 years thinks those not away should have recovery. thats good enough for me..
