CARDIFF CITY CAPTAIN SEAN MORRISON SPEAKING TODAY :bluebird: :bluebird:

How do Cardiff respond to three games without a win?

SEAN MORRISON:

"We didn’t win a game last week but the form was always going to drop at some point when you win the first five. It was a tough week. Fulham away is tough, taxing, but we managed to come away with a point, but Preston was the one we’re disappointed with, we were off the levels we set, we didn’t perform and got what we deserved."

"Sheffield Wednesday was a good point but think we could have win it with the way we dominated the second half. We’re still joint top and if you asked any fans nine games we were top they would have taken it."

More from Morrison on squad's resilience

Sean Morrison:

"We don’t lack spirit, that’s down to the gaffer and the group in changing room we have. We’re together, we trust each other, we do stuff away from club, we get on, there’s no bad feeling when players not playing, it’s a squad and if we are to be promoted we need the squad together."

"It’s shown when been behind to come back to draw, teams who get promoted are the ones who bounce back. We’ve got spirit in abundance and it’s the best spirit I’ve been involved in. We need that character and we need leaders like we have."

Have teams sussed out Cardiff City?

This is what Morrison said about the idea that teams have perhaps worked out Cardiff’s style of play...

Sean Morrison:

"No, I don’t think so. The gaffer and the way he works and puts his side out has been done many a year and teams haven’t handled it over that time."

"It was maybe a bit of fatigue, especially on Tuesday (v Preston), and we will come up against good teams and there will be days when we won’t be at the races."

"Those times we have to try and pull through. All we can do now is look forward to this week, three tough games and if we can come away with a better points total than last week and stay around where we are we’ll be happy going into the international break."

Sean Morrison on Sunderland

Sean Morrison:

"It’s hard for teams to adapt coming down from the Premier League, they still have a fair few players who played Premier League for a long time. They have a new manager and it takes time for them to take beliefs forward and it’s hard for teams to go straight back."

"They might not be doing well as they hoped for, but come the middle of season I’m sure they will be right up there."

"Every game is tough game, no easy games at all. Look through the fixtures and there’s not one you look at and say ‘yes we’ll win that’. Preston game people might have thought that but we went up there and got bullied. It will be hard but we have to go up there and do our job and hopefully get three points."

Very positive from Sean Morrison and maybe explains why he Neil Warnock's on-field captain; no nonsense and just gets on with the job in front of him rather than swelling on what he cannot change! :ayatollah:

The guy gives his all and is fastly becoming the new Mark Hudson. A vital cog in the wheel.

Morrison has really grown on me these past two years. A solid CV who's a beast in the air. Makes the odd mistake, but if he didn't he'd probably be playing at a level above. Seems to have matured alot since poogate aswell

Does lack a yard of place but he's a top player at this level. No coincidence he's always first on the team sheet and he's growing into the captaincy role fast. It's easy to forget Morrison is still pretty young too.

I've been praising him for few years and glad he's finally getting some recognition on here
