in terms of money paid per game, i believe the money has reached its maximum under the current system of selling to TV companies. it now seems we are a stage where new media companies like amazon will bid these sky high rights even higher, further fuelling increased inflation in english football. they'll use the netflix model to get more people to pay a small amount per month, which is better for most people than having a high monthly TV subscription.
hopefully this will harm SKY further, who had previously enjoyed a 20 year monopoly. bring it on!
