Report: Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest interested in Chris Cadden
HITC

Cardiff City are interested in signing Chris Cadden from Motherwell in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Cardiff had him watched during Motherwell’s 2-0 victory over Ross County in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.

Nottingham Forest are also reported to be interested in the 20-year-old midfielder, who is claimed to be on the radar of Championship rivals Hull City as well.

Cadden is one of the best and most promising young midfielders in the Scottish Premiership.

The Scotland Under-21 international has been on the books of Motherwell his entire professional football career so far and has a contract with Well until the end of the 2018-19 season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The youngster has progressed well at Motherwell, but perhaps he could do with more year in the Scottish Premiership before making the move to the Championship in England.

The Championship in England is a much more competitive and demanding domestic league than the Scottish Premiership.

Described as "a strong-running right-sided midfielder who can play in the centre or at right back" :thumbright:

He has two Scottish U-21 international caps :ayatollah:

This sounds good to me. Another example how our recruitment policy appears to be sensible now.
