SunSport understands the Bluebirds sent a spy to watch Cadden in Saturday’s 2-0 victory against Ross County.

Cadden has interest from a number of clubs down south

Hull are still leading the race to land the Scotland Under-21 cap, as SunSport revealed last week.

But the Championship outfit could face competition for his signature, with other clubs down south being alerted to Cadden’s ability.

City boss Neil Warnock has shown his liking for the Scottish market, with Callum Paterson joining from Hearts this summer.

Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton is also thought to be monitoring 20-year-old Cadden.

Hearts had a £100,000 bid for the youngster thrown out earlier this summer.
