We need a dominant ,creative midfielder really badly. Halford is at best a stand-in centre back. He is not and never will be a midfielder.

About 150 there early on according to one reporter.
Not sure if more turned up later.

Wouldn't expect many on a Tues night.

We took something like 1000 up there a couple of years back when it was on a Sat.

Think we lost that 2-1 as well

bloody hell..we lost a warm up game.so what.

some people are reading far too much into pre season , which this year was designed to be very low key..
the manager knows what his starting 11 is going to be and is using these non games to try things out. ..how do we cope if x,f and z are missing..or are down a man etc..

i think the Villa fans have already bought their tickets..so if 3k now decide to not travel because they lost to Shrewsbury they will still count towards the attendance.

Like you I don't understand the concern just because another team scored a goal more than us in a training exercise. These games are just a knock around and a way of loosening your muscles after the summer break. Can't see why anybody would worry about this result, we only beat a local parks team by one goal and everyone seemed happy enough. The games that decide if we get promoted or relegated are the ones that count, not these pre-season kickabouts.
