Cardiff City legend Kevin McNaughton could be braced to retire from football completely after bidding farewell to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The Bluebirds icon failed to find regular first team football at Caley and now, aged 34, could be set to quit the game and head into coaching.

McNaughton revealed he wouldn't be extending his stay at the Scottish club in a statement on social media. He made just nine appearances in a single season in Scotland following his move from Wigan Athletic. McNaughton left Cardiff City Stadium in August 2015 after nearly a decade in South Wales.
