teams used to double mark Ryan too.
and Spurs seemed to have gone forwards not backwards without him.
great player but a long way to go to catch Giggs.

Spurs struggled after they let him go. They've gone one better now obviously, but a lot of that is due to the money they reinvested from the Bale sale finally starting to see a return from some of the players they signed. Plus they finally have a top coach, fair play.
