Joe Ledley Denies Laughing As Seamus Coleman Received Injury Treatment

Well wishes and messages of support have been pouring in for Everton and Ireland full-back Seamus Coleman, after he suffered a devastating broken leg during the Irish's 0-0 draw with Wales, last night.

However, more controversy has stemmed from the incident, other than Neil Taylor's wrecklessly stupid excuse of a challenge, with some fans accusing Wales midfielder Joe Ledley of laughing as Coleman received treatment on the Aviva Stadium pitch.

Taylor, who was promptly sent off for his leg breaking foul, has also been accused by some outraged fans of smiling during Coleman's agony.

I'd like to think that Joe Ledley and Neil Taylor aren't laughing in this photo to be honest

We'll be honest, it's hard to believe that Coleman's fellow professionals would have been laughing while he lay prone on the pitch with an injury that could have easily ended or severely shortened his career.

Very sad to see

Wayne Rooney Posts Reaction To Seamus Coleman Injury

As most of you will have already seen, Everton's Seamus Coleman suffered a horrific broken leg during Ireland's 0-0 draw with Wales, last night.

The culprit, Neil Taylor, was duly given his marching orders for his idiocy after his captain, Gareth Bale, had somehow escaped receiving his marching orders for his wreckless attempt at a 'tackle', hat could quite easily have broken John O'Shea's leg, too.

Almost immediately, tributes for Coleman came pouring in via social media, with England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney leading the way, sending his well wishes to a fellow Evertonian while also commenting on Taylor's challenge.

Several other players and clubs were quick to wish Coleman a full and speedy recovery:

Let's hope Coleman is able to make a full recovery and is able to recapture the form that had seen him become one of the Premier League's finest full-backs.

This whole thing has turned into a complete anti Welsh BS. Bale challenge wasn't a leg breaker he had a right to for the ball. They are also insinuating that Taylor's challenge was deliberate when again it was not. People forget about the elbow yo the head of Joe Allen which also should of been a red card. Bale Ramsey and Allen were singled out for very rough treatment last night but hey that just doesn't fit the bash Wales agenda.
Was Ledley laughing at Coleman ? I doubt that very much maybe he doesn't know the extent of his injury. No one would be laughing at Coleman not then not now.

It is clear to me that Ledley is laughing and because of that should never be selected to play for Wales again, but it would be the manager decision so I won't be holding my breath

I beg to differ on Bale, his challenge was bad full stop and could easily been a straight red, he knew and immediately apologised to O 'Shea. As for Ledley laughing that is silly no serious professional would wish to see a man having his leg snapped.Taylor 's challenge was dreadful call it for what is was a very bad challenge and he now has to live with it. Let us not go down the "welsh chip on the shoulder" route please call what you see if I was an Irish player I would have chinned the b*stard.

I would play Dave Edwards instead of Ledley
A much better player and lasts for 90 minutes
Ledley only plays half a match and he gets subbed
He's been subbed in nearly all his Welsh matches
I notice Crystal Palace also do it to him
He's too slow and makes no impact on the game at all
Give me Dave Edwards any day

Ledley could easily be making an ironic gesture because of the extent of the injury.

I would be surprised if any player would laugh at something as horrific as another player obviously badly injured. A photograph showing a fraction of a second facial expression can be very misleading.

Could have been a grimace, hard to tell.
Ridiculous for people to judge him over a split second picture.
