A quality creative midfielder like McGeady from Preston is what we need badly. He was easily the stand out player when we beat them a few weeks ago (although I'm not sure of his age).

Lambert next season will be another year older and more injury prone, he is suffering all the time from injuries as Warnock says the oder he is getting the longer it is taking to get him back.
7 goals in his last three years is not good enough with his type of wages.
Lambert will have cost Cardiff over a £million this season and no wonder Warnock wants a fit Lambert.
We tried to offload him,who will want him? ?
I thought fans like yourself keep saying we can't afford to strengthen and don't want to get in trouble finacially ,well with signings like Lambert and Amos we will only get further in trouble and that stops Warnock bringing in his own players.

I love the fact that Warnock doesn't have an agent so he buys players he likes and a lot of the time knows. He did say this morning that he wants leaders and team spirit. I can't see too many foreign gambles. Yesterday we ended up with the 4231 he played at QPR
If Manga stays on revised terms that would be great, Bamba, Manga & Morrison rotating based upon opponents looks solid.
Peltier,Bennett, Richards with the back up of Connolly as well looks again solid.
Gunnar, Ralls with Whitts or Halford as back up still lacks something.
The attacking 4 is where the money needs to go
The "10" needs to be able to score 15 goals. I am a fan of Pilks and believe this is his position nowadays but he is injury prone. So we'll have to find a first choice 10.
Zohore is starting to lead the line, but we need another striker to push Kenny, hopefully Lambert will retire
Holiett may be expensive and Harris needs to re-sign so we are left with Nooney and Kennedy, but i think we'll keep all of them
So IMO- LeFonfre,Adeyemi,Ajeyi are released. Saadi,Huws and O'Keefe, Gounongbe,John are sold for £3 millionish and Lambert retires. That leaves us 18 in the first team squad.
We need a Goalkeeper, A striker, An attacking midfielder and possibly a right back.

£6 million plus sales = £9 million that should do be enough for Warnock and with the a huge chunk of salary leaving in the summer we should be fine.

He should retire the end of the season
Tan wins keeping Saadi at the Belgium club but would rather see him here

Meanwhile, in the real world, would anyone retire if they were getting allegedly 25k to sit on their arse? Not all would think about their pride on that money.

In fact why doesn t tan buy a couple of decent players for his other clubs for a few mill and loan them to CARDIFF..JUST A THOUGHT
We definitely need a winger centre midfield and a striker...all with pace
