Zohore will start again for City upfront with Lambert as sub.
Sol Bamba returns after suspension and looks certain to play in a 3-5-2 formation with Matt Connolly favourite to operate at wing-back. That is far from a natural position for Connolly, but that would allow Bamba to join Bruno Manga and captain Sean Morrison at the heart of defence.
Manga is available to play against Brighton and Villa before he flies out to join the Gabon international squad for their Africa Cup of Nations commitments.
Stuart O’Keefe is likely to take over from Whittingham in midfield at Brighton as Cardiff face one of their most difficult fixtures this season.

Neil Warnock: " You’ll have to wait and see. I felt it was important to change that position and I felt it was justified. It will be a good test for him at Brighton and Villa."
NEIL WARNOCK: " Sol Bamba will be back in the squad. We were disappointed about Pelts at the time (against Brentford), I felt we would’ve won the game if he wasn’t injured. We need a utility player in January. We need more choice on the bench.
Whitts has got a slight calf strain. Whether we’ll risk him i’m not sure, same with Peltier. We’ll have to make decisions with those two."

Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club is an English football club based in the coastal city of Brighton & Hove, East Sussex. It is often referred to just as Brighton. They currently play in the Football League Championship, the second tier of the English football league system, hosting games at the 30,750-capacity Falmer Stadium, known for commercial purposes as the American Express Community Stadium, or simply the Amex.
The team is nicknamed the "Seagulls" or "Albion". The team has historically played in blue and white stripes, though this changed to all white briefly in the 1970s and again to plain blue during the club's most successful spell in the 1980s. Crystal Palace is considered the club's main rival, although the grounds are 40 miles apart.
Founded in 1901, Brighton played their early professional football in the Southern League before being elected to the Football League in 1920. The club enjoyed greatest prominence between 1979 and 1983 when they played in the First Division and reached the 1983 FA Cup Final, losing to Manchester United after a replay. They were relegated from the top division in the same season. Mismanagement brought Brighton close to relegation from the Football League to the Conference which they narrowly avoided in 1997 and 1998. A boardroom takeover saved Brighton from liquidation, and following successive promotions they returned to the second tier of English football in 2002 and have played in the second and third tiers ever since.

History and descriptionThe Amex, officially called the American Express Community Stadium and also referred to as Falmer Stadium, officially opened on the 30th of July 2011 with a friendly match between Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur (2-3).
Brighton had been planning the construction of a new stadium from as early as 1995 after former chairman Bill Archer had sold their Goldstone Ground to property developers.
When Brighton became homeless they first ground-shared with Gillingham for two seasons, and then moved to the Withdean Stadium, an athletics stadium in Brighton that, though it was upgraded, lacked the modern facilities for League football.
In the end it took Brighton until 2007 to get planning permission due to various legal challenges. Building works subsequently began in 2008 and in 2010 the club confirmed a naming rights sponsorship deal with American Express.
The Amex was designed to allow for an easy capacity increase to 30,000 seats, and already in December 2011 the club started planning for expansion.
Brighton received planning permission in early 2012 and an extra 5,000 seats were added before the start of the 2012-13 season by creating a second tier on the East Stand and closing the corners of the South Sand. Brighton added an additional 3,000 seats in early 2013 to bring capacity to 30,500 seats.
