Some of the strikers in Séria A are amongst the hardest working forwards in Europe...they have to be as they are normally up front on their own.
If you watch Italian football see how much the forwards work the channels to create space for the attacking midfielders it's been happening for 25 years..Most stikers at Italian top clubs score less than 15 a season..even the top quality ones
You think Macheda will work like that...not a chance...probably the main reason it has taken him so long to find a club

and tbh your views and knowledge of Italian football is a bit dated as most teams employ a 433 nowadays or two up front like runaway champions Juventus have for the past few seasons. your talking about TOTO SCHILLACHI it sounds like

Not that outdated some Italian clubs do play 4-3-3 these days however, the two wide men tend to drop into midfield leaving the striker up on his own, also Juve normally play 2 upfront, but again Mandzucik who is better known as a striker tends to play behind Hiquain more as an attacking midfielder, leaving Hiquain as a lone striker a lot of the time.
Macheda is not strong or physical enough to play a lone striker
