It looks like Lambert will be fit for Newcastle away on Saturday 5th November :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Cardiff City striker Rickie Lambert will miss this Saturdays home game against Wigan Athletic, but Lambert himself is battling and is hoping the wound will heal earlier than expected,to give him a fighting chance of playing against Wigan.

Lambert is a fighter and wants to play every game.

Previously what was reported.

Rickie Lambert is out injured for Cardiff City against Wigan this weekend as he recovers from his horror injury picked up at Nottingham Forest.

Lambert looks to have great hold up play but we need him fully fit before being able to judge his full worth.

To be fair to him he doesn't lack bottle or a desire to play as he's been carrying an injury and still gets out on that pitch. Not an attitude we've always been used to at the City !!

His link up play is decent enough but up there on his own we need somebody a lot more mobile. He's so slow and lumbering and needs to knock a few in.

I'd imagine he'll start with Pilks up there. Chamach from the bench and Immers if he's fit.
Not rocket science.
