The Principality Stadium, previously known as the Millennium Stadium, was built for the 1999 Rugby World Cup.

Wales will not play a friendly at Cardiff's Principality Stadium in March 2017,its a no to the FA of Wales.

The home of Welsh rugby will host the Champions League final in June 2017.

The Football Association of Wales (FAW) had considered staging a notable football game there as part of its preparations.

Argentina and Spain were understood to be under consideration, but the FAW have decided against hosting a game at the Principality Stadium.

Wales have not played football at the 72,500-capacity ground since 2011.

They lost 2-0 to England on that occasion, ending an 11-year association with the arena formerly known as the Millennium Stadium.

Wales have since moved to the 33,000-seat Cardiff City Stadium, and Chris Coleman and his players have stressed that they want to stay at the ground where they have been successful recently.

Unfortunately despite their Euro's success and low ticket prices Wales football team can't fill the Principality Stadium, yet Wales Rugby Team will fill it in all their six home matches this season even though they charge 100pounds each for their top seats,Why?

Nonsense..... it sells out because it's the national sport of Wales... our Welsh Football team can't sell out the CCS even after the euro success...

I like both sports, the atmosphere is poor at the Millenium Stadium at both Rugby and Football International games. I've ben there when the ground was half-full for both International sporting teams. The last time I went there for Rugby was for a home game against England in the 6 Nations a couple of years ago. There were at least 25-30,000 English fans there, it was like being at Twickenham with a very poor vocal support from the home supporters. I hope they keep all Wales football internationals at the Cardiff City Stadium, regardless of the size of the crowd, quality not quantity.

Been to many egg internationals. Its just a mass piss-up for thousands who never watch the regional sides.
Good noise though.

Thousands also go to Wales Football Internationals who do not support big 4 Welsh clubs. There are another 300+ clubs in both sports?

Football has always been club first, country second, changed a bit lately though. If Wales end up playing ROI at the Millenium, half the crowd will be Irish.

Exactly, which is why the game should be played at CCS whatever our chances of reaching the World Cup are. Remember, it's the very last game of the campaign. Just imagine if we need to win to top the group and qualify. Even worse if the Irish are in the same position. The pressure on the FAW to take the game to the egg-chasers' ground would be immense.
