Newport County have just sacked their manager Warren Feeney.

Warren Feeney takes Newport County to the bottom of Division Two.

Warren Feeney the night before he was sacked:

Warren Feeney did not hold back in his criticism of his players.

“I’m getting sick of it,” he said. “It’s not even a basic mistake – it’s embarrassing, to be honest.

“I can’t accept that and I said that to him. I can’t accept what he’s done.

“The players worked so hard. I thought it was a fantastic performance.

“They played for each other, they played for the club and to get done by that it is hard to take.

“You can’t coach that. I’m lost for words on it.

“I can’t get my head round what he’s trying to do. It was a rush of blood to the head.

“I thought he played decent for 88 minutes and he goes and does that. It’s unacceptable.”

Sorry, but I do believe it will be Trollope next,then prob the Jacks manager.

The Club can today confirm that Manager Warren Feeney has been relieved of his duties as first-team Manager.

Following a mixed start to the season the Board of Directors feel a change is necessary.

We would like to thank Warren for his service since joining the Club back in October 2015 and wish him all the best for his future career.

In addition, Assistant Manager, Andy Todd, has also left the Club with immediate effect.

First-team coaches Sean McCarthy and James Bittner will remain at the Club in their respective positions and assume caretaker responsibilities.

The Club is intending to make an appointment as soon as possible and will make an announcement in due course.

The Newport job is even harder than the Cardiff one. Since the money got taken away by that millionaire lottery winner they've been struggling. I can only see them plummeting down the leagues again unless they make a worldy of an appointment but that's unlikely given their current position and budget.
