' CARDIFF CITY'S PLAYER IN TOP TWO IN CHAMPIONSHIP '

Cardiff City's currently longest serving player Peter Whittingham who is now 32 years old and is out of contract at the end of this season, shows he can still do a job for City in the Championship.

Cardiff City are currently in new contract stages and it is believed they have offered Whittingham less than half his Premiership contract of approx £25,000 a week.

Top five players in the Championship for creating chances

Tom Cairney (Fulham) 31
Peter Whittingham (Cardiff) 30
Ross McCormack (Aston Villa) 27
Paul Gallagher (Preston) 27
Craig Conway (Blackburn) 25

Strange how 4 of those players play for teams in the lower reaches of the table.
