' CARDIFF CITY FANS TODAY '

By Vince Alm

The 390 loyal/diehard Cardiff fans made the 7 hour round trip to Rotherham today and from the start they never stopped signing.
Even when Cardiff went one nil down, City fans just kept singing and backing the players :ayatollah:

In the second half thanks to an outstanding display by Rickie Lambert and not just his two goals,City gave the faithfull Bluebird fans a victory.

The whole team came over at the end and celebrated with the delirious Cardiff fans :bluebird: :ayatollah:

Rickie Lambert could be the difference in City this season.

Also the other two players who stood out today Ben Amos and Jazz Richards

Roll on Derby County this Tuesday night :bluebird: :bluebird:

Well done to all our fans that travelled today, done us proud as usual and safe journey home. The club is long overdue on showing its appreciation of our away support and need to do so fast.

To be honest I thought here we go again 1-0 down. I was in the morrisons cardiff, got home put cider, beer in fridge then seen we 2-1 up thought wtf happened
Hopefully that will give us a push for Tuesday now & Burton next week
I did say out of the 3 games it be Draw, Draw, lose everything is now a bonus for us :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluebird: :bluebird:

This is true. Even when we were losing a large group of mainly youngsters kept it going.

Hats off to them, superb loyal support.

Scenes at the end like we'd gone top !

Some of the songs sung by those younsters included:-

We're f*cking shit
How shit must you be you haven't scored yet (after about 10 minutes  )
How shit must you be we actually scored

and of course

You're nothing special, we lose every week.

Not sure how many of those chants inspired the team to victory, but at least they were making a lot more noise than the Rotherham fans.

So because I couldn't afford to go, does that mean I'm not a true supporter or a loyal/diehard as the OP put it?

Of course your not. I very rarely go to away matches due to cost, hassle etc, but it does not mean I am any less a true City supporter. Great admiration for people who do go regularly though!

Great day yesterday, well worth the trip up there! :D

As has been said, a few of the songs weren't exactly lifting for the team - such as "we want Slade/Malky back" - but on the whole I think the players knew the support was there for them and some of the songs were just having a laugh! The blonde girl with her dad in the stand to our left seemed to get a few songs from a section of the fans too

Bring on Derby and Burton next week :bluescarf: :ayatollah:
