CARDIFF CITY FOOTBALL CLUB ON TWITTER:
A number of supporters have questioned EFL regulations regarding photography during matches. For anybody in doubt of the EFL stipulations.
Cardiff City FC has no intention of spoiling the match day experience for individuals, but is obliged to comply with the EFL on this matter. For any queries relating to this, please email enquries@efl.com - thank you for your understanding.

Perhaps the club deserves some slack IF the request not come from the club directly. Are the EFL that bothered??

Thomas, Its the clubs decision and Jon Candy was doing No harm at all, he's been taking photos for many many years, there was no need to stop him.

Agree. It is a strange one, although both club (regardless of the statement) and EFL are within their rights. I can't help feeling that the quality and publication of Jon's images were at least part of the issue
I always enjoyed them and genuinely thought Jon Candy was one of the 'official' photographers who simply shared some of his work with the club's fans!

Agree, it's a bit far-fetched to blame the EFL when the club are the ones discussing the photos at boardroom level.
It all smacks of an attempt to control the output that everything is rosy in the garden!
