Amos, wasn't even Bolton's main goalie, he's there No2

Not quite true tho annis there was a reason he was no2 they can't afford to pay him his contract this season

Wez,Well the Bolton fans don't rate him and he was demoted to No2 this season.

IF Marshall is sold after everything that is gone on over the last 18 months then i would not spend 50 pence on anything to do with Cardiff City

He is not sold just spoken to his neighbour as he wasn't home

I swear I'm no stalker lol

Now reported on Sky that a bid has been accepted by the club from Hull for Marshall. (Just saw the earlier post!)

Re: ' DAVID MARSHALL SOLD '

I'm gonna sit outside his house until I can get confirmation from the person himself not "he said this I've heard this someone in club told me this" etc etc etc

I don't think hull is the right move for Marshall, it don't make sense for him to move, they haven't got a permanent manager in place,if new manager takes over and he doesn't rate Marshall, he ll be on the move again,so for someone who's settled at cardiff,it seems a gamble to me

Think you go to watch them as they are your team....
Crowds are dropping so revenue down, books need to be balanced.
Marshall has been a good servant, but club needs to survive.
Just support the boys... Time to rebuild.
Are you serious? How much 'cost cutting' do we have to go through before our team is mediocre? When are we gonna be selling our car park to Cardiff casino? I can't believe some fans are bending over and taking this what a load of shambles!

We are just like other clubs that have got relegated from. PL have had to cost cut
Derby, ipswich, Blackburn Leeds, .. That's football,
You don't just support your team for glory days.
wheres the ambition to succeed ? Most of clueless oles signings have gone were not even gonna be competitive next season mark my words
allan no ambition =less fans which means we're losing whatever way you look at it

Ambition comes with a price tag one that at present city cannot pay.

Spot on. The crowds are dropping because fans are not being entertained. Play negative football without a striker whilst at the same time selling all of your best players. Speculate to accumulate springs to mind however the club do not want to spend any money. Just 1/2 exciting signings might generate a response with thousands more coming through the gate but the club seems intent on going the other way.
exactly my point mate

I respect your view but we're talking harsh realities here. If the club sell our best players and show no intent then it creates an even bigger sense of apathy around the club. There's people I know turning down free tickets for sat.

Obviously got better things to do and certainly won't spend any money on ticket! unless man u ect etc are in town then different story?

Re: UPDATED ' DAVID MARSHALL SOLD '

Why would we want to sell Marshall: a player who's kept us in countless games and is probably worth 10 points a season?

This is madness.

Re: UPDATED ' DAVID MARSHALL SOLD '

Fri Aug 26, 2016 4:59 pm

5 million bid according tom the BBC

If he goes and we don't get a decent striker then we are f@cked

I get the tightening purse strings/rebuilding, etc but the club aren't giving the fans ANYTHING to get excited about. In fact, quite the opposite. The apathy is in no way surprising

For me, this is the worst EVER time being a city fan and I've been going since 81

At least before there was a sense of identity and togetherness

TAN and his cronies + Malky have ripped the club apart

I'd be happy for Tan to sell up AS LONG AS it's to someone who cares about Cardiff City, the fans and all the history, etc

WE WANT OUR CLUB BACK :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I doubt Hull have watched Marshall much in the past 12 months. Rarely stops anything from outside the penalty area, and goes down in stages like an OAP.
A fine 'keeper up until the season before last, but has gone back considerably since then in my opinion..

Well this is confirmation that we are going the way of Bolton and Portsmouth.

How the f*** was Immers convinced by to join this car crash?

Absolutely gutting. So we have no attackers, no quality between the sticks, are we systematically trying to deplete ourselves in every position?

We'll be fielding youth players through necessity before long and it won't be pretty.

No it won't be pretty at all. I can see Manga going soon too. All this is a sure recipe for relegation, and it's no wonder that Slade didn't hang around too long as director of football.

Over to you PT, and take a man size gulp from the poison chalice, you sure are going to need it fella!

If Marshall does not fancy the move, then he does not have to go.

That's not true, if a club wants you gone, I guarantee they know how to get rid off you and anyway would you stay at a club who wants to sell you?

The Great Marshall Love In.

First of all I don't want the Club to sell its players but from a Business point of view (people keep pointing out on here all the time that Football is a business) it is a great piece of work.

£5 million for a Goalkeeper, one currently plying his trade in the Championship is outstanding, he maybe an International but so in Ferran Pol.

Personally I have always thought he was overrated, yes he had a good season when we were in the Premiership but most keepers that are having 5,000 shots at them per game make the odd good save. Commanding your box, distribution, organising your defence, can people realy type on here that yes Marshall is class at all these things. I don't think you can.

There is a very valid reason why it is Hull that have made the bid and that is because nobody else has ever wanted to take the risk on him. £5 Million, snap their hands off and invest it in the rest of the team, sadly that isnt on the agenda which I would imagine is more reason for the peoples anger.

Probably due to the fact we are paying him I would imagine north of £10,000 a week, he gets to live in a Capital City all for the task of playing Football for a few hours a week. Blokes living the dream whether we get tumped 8-0 a week or win 8-0 a week.

I can see him now, Friday night before a home game, probably living somewhere well nice getting sucked off by his Mrs or some other extremely fit bird who wouldn't look at him twice if he wasn't a Footballer.

'Seen this love, Accepted a bid for Marshall £5 Million, gutted, never mind, my £30,000 for this month has just gone in. Your mothers birthday this month innit, Ill try and score tomorow, we can use the £1,000 goal bonus to send her somewhere nice, tidy
