Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will most certainly shuffle his pack once more as the Rs travel to Cardiff City. Alex Smithies should claim his place back between the sticks with Jake Bidwell, Steven Caulker and Grant Hall all set to re-join the defence.

History

Queens Park Rangers Football Club (usually referred to as QPR) are a professional English football club in White City, London that play in The Championship, the second tier of English football. Their honours include winning the League Cup in 1967, being runners-up in the old First Division in 1975–76 and reaching the final of the FA Cup in 1982, where they lost 1–0 to Tottenham Hotspur in a replay after they drew 1–1 in the initial final match.

Queens Park Rangers were founded in 1886 after the merger of Christchurch Rangers and St. Judes Institute, and their traditional colours are blue and white. In the early years after the club's formation in their original home of Queen's Park, games were played at many different grounds until finally the club settled into their current location at Loftus Road. Owing to their proximity to other west London clubs, QPR maintain long-standing rivalries with several other clubs in the area. The most notable of these are Chelsea, Fulham and Brentford, with whom they contest what are known as West London Derbies. Outside London, QPR also traditionally share rivalries with Watford, Luton and Cardiff, although in recent years these fixtures have become less prominent.

Referee James Linington appointed for Cardiff City v QPR ...

Official James Linington appointed for Cardiff v QPR
Referees first QPR match in nearly a year
Sunday is Linington's second fixture of the season
REFEREE James Linington has been appointed to officiate QPR’s Sunday afternoon clash against Cardiff City in south Wales.

The referee based in Newport has been selected by the EFL and his officials for the match will be Ravel Cheosiaua, Adam Matthews and Keith Stroud.

The last time Linington took charge of a Rangers match was just under a year ago and it was not a memorable one as the R’s were knocked out of the League Cup by Carlisle United. He was also the official when QPR beat Watford 2-1 back in 2014 to secure a place in the Championship Play-offs.

Does'nt matter how many different players are used against QPR, our lack of firepower up front will still be the same. Would have gone for something like a 2-2 draw, but given our lack of goals I think QPR will beat us. Going for 0-2.

Im going to try and have faith that they are going to pull things together and battle out a win. Hard to beileve based on that last performance but if Trollope does his job and gives the players a kick up the arse who knows? 2-1 Cardiff :ayatollah:

Unfortunately the confidence is clearly going to lie in the QPR camp. We are the ones with something to prove here! :(

What are the injury concerns?

Cardiff City are likely to be without combative midfielder Stuart O’Keefe after he suffered a suspected broken arm at the Memorial Stadium. New signing Emyr Huws is in contention, subject to international clearance on his move, despite missing the start of Wigan’s season with an ankle injury. QPR’s Joel Lynch is a doubt.

Cardiff Likely XI: Marshall, Richards, Manga, Morrison, Connolly, John, Whittingham, Huws, Pilkington, Immers, Gounongbe

QPR Likely XI: Smithies, Onouha, Hall, Caulker, Bidwell, Henry, Luongo, Gladwin, Chery, Shodipo, Polter

Read the QPR forums and and essentially they fancy it after our Gas loss and their Leeds win:

General opinion seems to be that:

We are solid, create chances but poor finishing.
Manga is our best player. Best option is to work around him.
We have a superior aerial threat.
Peter Whittingham is one to watch. Karl Henry and Cousins to stay tight on him to stop creation.
    Two games in, no goals.
    Nerves on first home game.
    Gas loss, heads down.
Our fans creating a home advantage with a big atmosphere (I'm looking at you, Wayne Nash).
    Great home record.
We will press and limit play as we did for the most part at Brum.
We like taking long shots and long balls.
Gounongbe rated as a target man with Immers and Pilkington following on.
    Polter versus Peltier.
    Fabio to Boro a loss.
Our fans on players back early in game!
Individual errors and QPR capitalising on as they did with Leeds.
QPR to force errors, keep same defensive line as Leeds and win aerial battles.
Direct running at our defence, wingplay and cut-ins, free-kicks from specialists Chery and Ngbakoto.
Also, They've read our forum and said that we don't fancy it!

Well I do and for that last comment only I predict 1-0 City. :bluebird:

I do think we'll take it up a notch, but QPR are banging them in. I think they'll edge it 2-1.
