' JOE ALLEN COMPLETES STOKE MOVE '

Stoke City have confirmed the signing of Wales midfielder Joe Allen from Liverpool.

The Reds last week accepted Stoke's bid for their midfielder, whose performances helped Wales reach the semi-finals at Euro 2016 this summer.

And the 26-year-old has signed a five-year contract for a fee understood to be £13m, ending a four-year spell at Anfield to become Stoke's second signing of the summer following Ramadan Sobhi's move on Monday.

Allen followed Brendan Rodgers from Swansea to Liverpool in 2012 but found his first-team chances limited after Rodgers was replaced by Jurgen Klopp in October.

Injuries contributed to a total of just eight Premier League starts last season, and Allen had just one year to run on his deal.

Cardiff City manager Paul Trollope tells strikers Federico Macheda and Adam Le Fondre they can leave

Tuesday 26th July 2016

BY PHIL SMITH

The Bluebirds boss has declared the club are open to offers from other clubs for the pair

Cardiff City manager Paul Trollope has told strikers Federico Macheda and Adam le Fondre they can leave the club.

The Bluebirds boss has declared the club are open to offers from other clubs for the pair who spent spent loan spells at rival Championship clubs during the 2015-16 season and have not travelled on the pre-season tour to Germany.

“They can look for pastures new,” first team coach Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Wales Sport.

“It’s not an easy situation for them. They’ve shown a really good attitude and worked hard through pre-season.

“They’ve been treated with respect and for all parties, if a solution is found, then it would suit.”

Le Fondre, 29, signed from Reading on a three-year deal in May 2014 but has scored only three goals in 23 league appearances for the club.

He spent the whole of the 2015-16 campaign on loan at Wolves having been on loan at Bolton Wanderers during the previous season.

Italian Macheda was on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, where he failed to score in three league appearances.

Trollope, who succeeded Russell Slade as Cardiff boss in May, would not be drawn on his future with Wales’ coaching team.
