Joe Allen is due to have a medical with Stoke City after agreeing personal terms with The Potters.

The Liverpool Echo expect the Welshman to complete a £13 million move today, meaning the Swans would miss out on one of their top transfer targets.

Swansea saw an £8 million bid for the 25-year-old rejected earlier this summer and it is now believed that Allen has agreed personal terms with Mark Hughes’ side.

Last week, Swans chairman Huw Jenkins insisted that the club were still in the hunt to secure a Liberty homecoming for the former fan favourite but that seems a long way off at this stage.

Great move to Stoke he will be first choice there and they now play a better style of football under Hughes. Good for Wales bad for jacks

Stoke really are signing some good footballers the last season or 2 with Bojan, Shaquiri and now Allen.

thats at least a £5m premium based upon 5 performances in euro 2016, one million a game.

stoke is probably around his level, though.

Great signing for them imo. Still think he could do a job for Liverpool tbh but this way he'll get much more game time hopefully.
