Because fans just want to sign him as he's available and Welsh ! But mustn't forget he needs to want to drop down to champ, wants to sign for us, do we need him, can we afford him?? Just couple reasons why we won't be signing him.

Could Jonny Williams be a Cardiff City Signing?
Williams is ready to move on.
Jonny Williams: Crystal Palace
Williams has impressed this summer and has shown the ability required to play Championship football. Having had loan spells with Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and MK Dons,Jonny Williams is still only 22 and The Bluebirds could enquire about loaning or even signing him. With Palace boasting a wealth of talent in the centre of their midfield, Williams could opt to leave The Eagles with the right deal and moving to a fellow Welsh like Cardiff City would suit him and the Cardiff fans.
How would he fit in?
Cardiff City have missed an attacking central midfielder with a bit of flair since Peter Whittingham scored 20+ goals in 2009/10 season, and Williams offers that in heaps. He's not know for his goal scoring record, but he could rack up a good amount of assists if played in the right position. After showing a good eye for goal in the latter stages of the season, Lex Immers will almost certainly start the campaign playing off the main striker. Williams would probably have to play a little deeper or off the left, but he's more than capable.

It won't happen as I was told the club have been looking at him and checked his medical records and he has a problem with his knee and the club won't sign any player that can't play 90 mins. Whoever he signs for will for a 60 or 65 mins just watch.
