Cardiff City have signed Danish Under-21 striker Kenneth Zohore from KV Kortrijk while Idriss Saadi is poised to move in the opposite direction on a season-long loan deal.

Zohore had a short loan spell at the Cardiff City Stadium last season and was one of the success stories for the club in their disappointing Championship campaign.

He was signed in January by Cardiff owner Vincent Tan’s Belgium club, KV Kortrijk from Danish outfit Odense and immediately loaned to the Bluebirds until the end of the season.

Another one who may benefit from out new fitness guru and should be better with a decent pre-season under his belt.

Hope we sign Cotterill now, get some quality crosses in for him and play to his strengths

Thought he showed some promise in the few times we saw him last season, looked a handful.

I agree

Interesting - he definitiey showed potential, but never looked fit enough to me.
Saadi looked very good, the little I saw of him, and I would have thought he was a better bet (though a different type of striker.)
But I suppose the decision makers that see them in training every day have a far better and truer impression than the snapshot we got as fans last season. It can't just have been Slade that thought Saadi wasn't ready for the Championship.

Good luck to him.

Wish we could sign a striker who has experience of scoring goals in the Championship or Premier League but no doubt such a player would cost more than the figure we are willing to pay i.e. nothing.

Can't say I'd be too optimistic starting the season with the two new boys up front - very little experience and a huge gamble.

Steven Fletcher would have been ideal in my opinion or if we could somehow persuade Fraizer Campbell to return or get Patrick Bamford in on loan - not realistic I know but I'm not sure either Zohore or Freddy (or Pilkington for that matter!)can be the twenty goal striker that we would need to be serious contenders in the league.

Very good signing IMHO.

Reminds me of Ricardo Fuller, he will be a nightmare for Champs defenders next season as he appears he can handle himself, a decent pre-season will do him the world of good. Great signing

Did very well against Burnley and Brentford away.

A good pre season under his belt, I think he could do well for us.

Poor quality player every time I saw him play especially away to fulham, his touch, passing and decision making were league two at best.
Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

foreign players are the future (of this club) cheaper than their British counterparts. I see the business sense, but possibly like yourself, i'm not excited by it whatsoever

Firstly got to be good enough! Secondly they've got to want to come here (hrk) wants premier. It's so simple really getting in Welsh players ?

Hopefully we'll start integrating our academy players into the 1st team set up. Gotta be a gem somewhere surely?

Yes but very unlikely given our transfer budget and type of player we are looking for not sure if suitable players exist at present!
