The FA is expected to appoint Gareth Southgate on an interim basis before sounding out the likes of Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers as the new England boss.

Bit surprised Slade hasn't had a mention so far.

Apparently he's a "safe pair of hands" and we all now how much he likes bringing through young players.

I'm sure Charlton would do the patriotic thing and let him go. Can see Russ for England gaining some traction ;)

They need to think outside the box. They don't need someone with a football brain, better off a great man manager, imagine appointing Eddie Jones, he has sorted the rugby team out!

If they need an interim manager Allardyce or Redknapp would get some confidence back to the team
