THURSDAY 23RD JUNE 2016

Fans With Tickets (Voucher holders)

All individuals who have purchased “Follow My Team” tickets or single tickets for any match beyond the Group Stages have already received vouchers. These vouchers are to be exchanged at the Voucher Exchange Point (VEP) in the Host City where the knock out match is taking place.

The Irish FA will have no input into this process and all queries should be directed to UEFA, the UEFA website and UEFA staff at the VEP.

Procedure:

UEFA will email each voucher-holding fan following qualification to the next round and provide full instructions as to where and when vouchers can be exchanged for tickets, and what the customer needs to provide – proof of ID & the Voucher which they currently hold.
Only the customer in person named on the ticket application can exchange the vouchers
UEFA staff will handle all aspects of the voucher exchange.
Fans must exchange their voucher for a valid ticket before gaining access to the stadium.
The Lyon and Paris VEP locations are outlined below.
ADVICE: The Irish FA advise all fans to exchange vouchers on Match Day minus 2 or Match Day minus 1. The VEP will be hugely busy! If you leave it to match day you risk missing part or all of the match due to the huge numbers of fans exchanging vouchers – especially in Lyon where the VEP is 17km away from the stadium. Please allow sufficient time to ensure voucher exchange and travel to the match!

Fans Without Tickets

Fans will be able to purchase tickets for the knock-out stages directly from the UEFA Ticket portal on a first-come first-served basis.

The Irish FA will have no input into this process (no priority system will apply) and all queries should be directed to UEFA and the UEFA website.

It is expected that these will go on sale at 11am GMT (12pm CET) tomorrow morning (23rd June).

Procedure:

Tickets for the knock-out phases will be available for purchase subject to availability.
All tickets will be sold via the official Euro2016.com website
Fans will be able to buy tickets for the next round only after Northern Ireland qualify
Tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis
Fans will get email confirmation following purchase and will need to bring this with ID to the Ticket Collection Point in the Host City for the relevant match for collection of tickets.
The Ticket Collection Point is separate from the Voucher Exchange Point. Full details regarding the location of each Ticket Collection Point are available at: http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/ticketing/ ... ion-point/

' WARNING TO WELSH FANS '

Euros 2016

By Vince Alm ‏

#fansembassies information Paris advice do not buy voucher, especially from another country it's worthless only welsh & opponents are valid

By Paul Corky

This is in the terms and conditions on UEFA ticket site

What is a ‘voucher’?

Fans who buy conditional tickets for matches of their team in the knockout stage of UEFA EURO 2016 will receive vouchers instead of actual match tickets.

Validity of such vouchers depends on the performance of your team in the tournament. As soon as your team qualifies for the next round of the tournament your vouchers become valid and you will be able to exchange them for actual tickets in a Voucher Exchange Point in the respective host city where the match is played. Please note that only the applicant in person can receive the tickets in exchange for a voucher.

If your team is eliminated the remaining vouchers become invalid and you will receive a corresponding reimbursement after the end of the tournament to your credit card registered in your application.
Hopefully there is room for compromise but again they are not budging, maybe when we know our opponents they may allow some leeway in special cases????? We are still awaiting reply from them this morning

#fansembassies information Paris address and opening times of Voucher Exchange Point Paris for wales vouchers round 16 Saturday 25th June 2016

Vince Alm

‪#‎fansembassies‬ Information Last 16 Paris Saturday 25th June; Ticket news is still the same as a couple of months ago; Only those with the name on the Wales Vouchers that were handed out will be able to collect the tickets; However we have spoken to other fan embassies who have done many tournaments and they have informed us in special circumstances they have allowed other people to collect tickets E.g. Illness.

We can not confirm this it is what we are being told by other countries rather than UEFA. It is your risk to turn up with permission, and ID etc. to claim the tickets there is NO guarantee you will be able to exchange the voucher. The Fanzone is Paris is under the Eiffel Tower and is the best in France so if you are travelling on the chance you will get a ticket I recommend you watch the game from there. Any extra tickets will be put on sale through UEFA portal after Wednesday TBC. Those unofficial websites which are selling tickets make sure they are tickets and not vouchers from other fan associations E.g. like Russia who have been knocked out the vouchers are worthless even if you could swap them.

Sorry the information is sketchy at the moment will try and firm up again tomorrow when we get to Paris

From this latest UEFA information then it does seem that as long as you turn up with a passport that corresponds to the name on the voucher then you will be able to pick up the tickets. My son wants to go to Paris, instead of the wife who has difficulties in going this weekend, so it appears that as long as he takes the voucher and my wife's passport then there shouldn't be a problem. That's my reading of it. Any confirmation will be appreciated as I'm sure we are not the only ones in this predicament. Other than that we'll just have to wait and see how Paul gets on.

Gareth Bale says finishing top of #EURO2016 group was a "moral victory." Good to have "bragging rights" & get one "over the English."
