' TROLLOPE MEETING WITH VINCENT TAN '

The frank first meeting between Cardiff City boss Paul Trollope and Bluebirds owner Vincent Tan

New Cardiff City head coach, Paul Trollope , has already started impressing in his new job, after taking a proactive approach to his relationship with owner Vincent Tan.
Trollope became the first Bluebirds’ boss to actively seek out a meeting with the Malaysian businessman upon being appointed in the job.
Previously neither Malky Mackay or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer travelled to see the man who was there boss whilst, when Russell Slade was appointed in October 2014, he eventually visited Tan the following summer.
But just a week after being handed the job , following the removal of Slade to a Head of Football, Trollope first priority was to meet face to face the man who will bankroll his side’s Premier League push next season.
Trollope even postponed joining up with the Wales squad, where he also has a coaching role, to meet with Tan in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.
Sources within the club say the meeting between the two men went very well and were very constructive. There was a frank exchange of views and both men gave their views on what they believed needed to be done to see the club improve next season.
Trollope is said to have been eager to get his points of view across, which is in many ways was a new experience for Tan. A source within the club said previous Cardiff managers had been slightly ‘intimidated’ by him and the relationship between owner and boss has suffered as a result.
Trollope is now set to link up with Wales once more at their training camp in Portugal where they preparing for next month’s Euros.
The Bluebirds Head Coach will remain with the Dragons throughout their campaign, but national boss, Chris Coleman, recently said that he expects Trollope to step down from his role this summer to totally concentrate on his job with the Bluebirds.
Coleman branded doing both job jobs ‘impossible’ at the time.

Trollope is not afraid.
