Where do we go from here? Lots of fans will predictably call for a ambitious manager, hungry for success will an attacking mindset, but lets be realistic here, we are not gonna get that if the new manager is earning the low wages that Tan is paying Slade.
If I was Tan the only reason i would replace Slade is if i was gonna sink a few million into the playing squad, and I really cant see that happening, if Tan wants another season of cuts and survival, then Slade is the man for the job as he has proved.
I suppose its a waiting game now to see what Tan has to say, if he speaks out about Slade having an acceptable season, then I foresee more of the same next season.
I would love to see a new exciting manager with a decent budget, but is that really what the club needs at the moment, we rolled that dice again and again for the last few seasons prior to the this one and all thats left us with is a transfer embargo.
