Dutchman Lex Immers will not be fit enough to make the trip after picking up a hamstring injury over a week ago. Joe Ralls was forced off at half-time last time out but the midfielder looks likely to return. Bruno Ecuele-Manga should return to the squad after illness.
Fabio Da Silva looks likely to miss yet another while Kenneth Zohore looks set to start in the front-line for Cardiff after scoring on his first start last weekend.
It is an all-ticket clash and there will be no pay on the day option. Fans have been urged to buy their tickets as early as possible and not invade the pitch after the final whistle.

Ahead of the big clash, Slade has a little clutch of injury concerns to deal with. As well as Immers, Joe Ralls was forced off at half-time against the Trotters with a thigh strain. The midfielder joins a list of casualties that includes Bruno Manga, who has been out ill with Malaria, and left-back Fabio who has an on-going groin problem.
Latest NewsWhat needs to happenThis is a must win game for Cardiff, if they are to stand any chance of stealing the final play off spot.
A win for City will leave them one point behind Wednesday, with one game to go.
Assuming Cardiff pull off a win next week they will then need to beat Birmingham at Cardiff City Stadium on May 7 and hope Sheffield Wednesday lose or draw at Wolves.
If Cardiff draw against Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday lose at Wolves the teams would be level on 71 points. However, with Wednesday's goal difference currently +11 compared to Cardiff's it is surely impossible to see that being overturned. Cardiff would have to thump their rivals next weekend and hope Wolves do likewise on the final day.

The OppositionHistory
Sheffield Wednesday Football Club is a football club in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, that plays in the Championship, the second tier of the English leagues. Sheffield Wednesday is one of the oldest professional clubs in the world and the third-oldest in the English league.
The Wednesday, as they were known until 1929, were founding members of The Football Alliance in 1889 and its first champions. They joined The Football League three years later and were also one of the founding members of the Premier League in 1992. Since joining the Football League in 1892, the club has spent most of its history in the top flight of English football but has not played at that level since being relegated in 2000. The Owls have historically been one of England's more successful clubs, and have won four League titles, three FA Cups and one League Cup. Wednesday have also competed at European level on four occasions, most recently in the UEFA Cup in 1992–93 and UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1995.
Since 1899 Sheffield Wednesday have played home matches at Hillsborough Stadium in the north-western suburb of Owlerton, hence their nickname The Owls.[1][2] Hillsborough is currently an all-seater ground with a capacity of 39,732
Recent Form - Sheffield WednesdsaySheffield Wednesday have been in and around the top six for most of the season and a few weeks back looked shoo-ins for the play offs after beating Charlton, Huddersfield and Blackburn in back to back games.
At that stage, it seemed Derby would be the team Cardiff would need to overhaul and the Bluebirds gained a much-needed 2-1 home victory over the Rams.
But suddenly Wednesday opened up the back door themselves as they were hammered 4-1 at lowly Bristol City and only managed dreary home draws with Ipswich and relegated MK Dons.
The point gained at Derby at the weekend was creditable enough, but in the context of those previous three failings it proved to be a good result for the Bluebirds.

History and descriptionSheffield Wednesday moved to Hillsborough Stadium in 1899. They played their first match at their new ground on the 2nd of September 1899 against Chesterfield (5-1). At that time, the stadium was still called Owlerton Stadium.
The stadium underwent a series of developments in 1913, including the construction of a new main stand and expansions of the terraces. At completion of the works in 1914, the stadium got renamed Hillsborough.
Hillsborough achieved its record attendance in 1934 when 72,841 people attended an FA Cup match between Wednesday and Manchester City.
In the early 1960s, a new North Stand was built, the second in England with a cantilever roof. In subsequent years further improvements were made to the Leppings Lane End and North West Corner.
Hillsborough was selected as one of the playing venues of the 1966 World Cup, during which it hosted three group matches and the quarter-final between West Germany and Uruguay (4-0).
Few changes were made to the stadium in the following decades, and its state slowly deteriorated. The only noticeable change was the construction of a roof over the Kop in 1986.
In 1989, the stadium was the scene of a stadium disaster that cost the lives of 96 Liverpool fans. The fans died in a crush caused by a combination of poor crowd management, police control, and, to a lesser extent, inadequate safety measures.
The subsequent investigation into the causes of the disaster, chaired by Lord Justice Taylor, resulted in the Taylor report. Its recommendations led to, among others, the conversion of all English stadiums into all-seaters and the removal of perimeter fences.
In the early 1990s, Hillsborough too got converted into an all-seater, and in 1996 it was one of the playing venues during the Euro 1996 tournament. The stadium hosted three group matches.
