' Cardiff City Player Out on Loan Continues to Impress '

Declan John in his 3rd game on loan to Chesterfield was voted man of the match, after previously being praised by manager Danny Wilson for his first two games, saying that Declan John had stood out and had shined.

Blackburn,Wigan,Sheffield United,Bradford City and Rotherham all had scouts watching John at the Blackpool v Chesterfield match this week.

It is believed that John is on £5,000 a week and a host of clubs are expected to come in for out of favour Welsh International John this coming summer with Cardiff City manager Russell Slade showing no plans for Declan John in the Cardiff City set up.

Thursday 3rd March 2016

The SBK Computers man of the match for Tuesday’s game against Blackpool was the Spireites' number 34, Declan John.

' Wales and Cardiff City player shines on loan '

Danny Wilson is backing his young stars to continue to hold down first team positions for Chesterfield.

The Spireites boss lauded recent additions to his squad Tom Anderson, Declan John and Connor Dimaio, ahead of Tuesday’s visit of Blackpool.

Defenders Anderson and John have impressed on loan from Burnley and Cardiff respectively and have helped Chesterfield to back to back wins, pulling the club away from the relegation zone.

Declan John was out of favour at Cardiff City and Danny Wilson had heard nothing but good reports on the ex Premier League and Wales star, Wilson is delighted with his progress after signing John on loan from Cardiff City.

"My three new loan signings have shone and they can’t give any more,” he said.

“The only thing they can’t give you is a bit of experience, but how are they going to get it? That’s by playing.

“We’ve given them a platform and then it’s up to the players.

I'm trying to work out what 'paulh_85' said that isn't correct in his post, fella?? :?

Quote 1: "Good to see him getting some game time"

Seems a positive statement to me ;)

Quote 2: "Pretty sure Adeyemi was winning Man of the match Awards when he first went to Leeds, though"

He was 'hailed' by Leeds fans for a couple of games, but now he is lambasted! ;)

As I said, still trying to work out what 'paulo_85' wrote to warrant the personal comment? :?

Posters like myself hardly post on here as topic after topic is sabotaged by him,if you post positive he's negaitive to it and if you make a post he slices it to bits, you aint seen what he does to posters?

John clearly has bags of potential that's been stunted in the last two seasons. Not even giving our youngsters a chance in the cup games is shambolic. I hope he gets some good experience and comes back fighting for a place

I've seen plenty on here from lots of people, but I try to react to everyones threads/posts according to the point(s) they make rather than the personalities involved. So by that standard, paulh_85 is either right or wrong and IMHO on this occasion he is most definitely making a valid point on both counts, yet you choose this thread to 'have a pop' ?

They say 'timing' is everything and on this occasion you missed by the proverbial mile, fella! ;)

great! a player that wants to play in the first team of Cardiff City needs to be an outstanding performer at that level. Can't knock him, well done Dec :bluescarf: Keep it going and give Slade a decision to make

Yep. There's a reason John isn't getting in the team. We have better and some fans can't seem to get their head around that.

For me, Slade has never given Declan a chance and it's a mystery as to why?

Good luck to him...hopefully he will come back with his confidence back and force his way back into the 1st team squad

Really can't believe he's not been given a chance this season!!!! Our current left back is average at best

No one is saying he is a nailed on starter. But not even given a run in the cup? But he was happy to play a 32 year old center back that would never play here again. We need to do more to nurture our youth or we will loose them

I like John and I certainly think he's worth holding onto but it's interesting that almost all of the teams reportedly interested are league 1 standard. :digging2:

Potential but not good enough at the moment. Why wasn't he sent out all season.

Luke, Slade should of sent him out in August/September as he had no intentions of playing him.

With Nubbsy on this. Slade does not show any interest in the Academy. The FA Cup game showed this. Youngsters must be very disheartened.

Not being funny, Kennedy couldn't get a start in the cup, couldn't even get on in one round so why would John.
