' An extra 2,000 Cardiff Fans '

Cardiff City Voucher-based initiative attracted almost 2,000 extra Bluebirds for Cardiff City's win over Preston.
Plus nearly 800 Preston fans, which gave Cardiff City a crowd of 15,566 our biggest home crowd of the season.

For me, City must not stop there and they must continue to give thousands of vouchers to Schools and keep our future fans coming to the games.

Cardiff City are doing this

• IPSWICH TOWN (Saturday, 12th March, 3pm)
• QPR (Saturday, 16th April, 3pm)
• BIRMINGHAM CITY (Saturday, 7th May, 3pm)

Ticket pricing
For the designated fixtures, the Club has committed to reduced rate ticketing for one adult and one child for just £15. Additional tickets will be sold at a rate of £3 for U16s and £15 for adults.

They should also target the kids/youth parks football teams across Cardiff/Vale/RCT/Newport/Bridgend and beyond.

Absolutely loving this but how long have we been saying it this season, am really impressed with the club at the moment and the action they are taking. They can't alter the past they can however change the future. :bluebird: :bluescarf:

But that's the idea, send thousands out and get a percentage through the gate. Also done in advance it will get a better response but if 2,000 did turn up that's a great return. The idea is obviously a lot can return next year for 49 quid. CCFC need to invest in the community. The future.

By Jamie Kemble

If you attended Cardiff’s win over Preston North End on Saturday then you may have noticed that the Peters Pie Family Stand looked far busier than in recent weeks and that’s down to the clubs new Primary School Ticket League which begun earlier this month.

The new Primary School Ticket League brought in almost 2,000 extra spectators for the visit of Preston and there’s no doubt it had a knock on effect on the atmosphere with manager Russell Slade praising the positive feeling in the ground throughout the game despite the lack of spectacle at times on the pitch.

The scheme allows primary school pupils and their parents to attend matches at a reduced rate and the more tickets each school use, they move towards earning rewards for their school. Rewards include Cardiff City playing kit for the school, coaching sessions and even player visits.

On the topic of player visits, club captain David Marshall and front-man Anthony Pilkington this week visited Llanharan Primary School in Rhondda Cynon Taff. Llanharan jumped at the chance to take part in the new ticket league scheme and this week pupils had the chance to put their questions to a couple of their Cardiff City heroes in a Q and A session at the school.

Cardiff City took further steps to reconnect with supporters during last week; including a Q and A session between Ken Choo and a group of Under-25 supporters before the match on Saturday and with a ‘Spot Yourselfie‘ campaign which took place throughout the day.
