Boro arguably the best team in the league had to score a very late equalizer against a team we pretty much dominated on the Sat. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

And there, in a flash, was what £9million buys you.
Jordan Rhodes had to wait 69 minutes to be introduced from the bench but he put all that kinetic energy to good effect by salvaging Middlesbrough a valuable late point at MK Dons.
So deep into stoppage time, it was really a hopeful ball thrown into the penalty area by Ritchie de Laet but there was Rhodes, rising above a Dons defence dead on their feet, to loop home the header that returns Boro to the Championship summit.

It will doubtless be the first of many priceless goals Rhodes scores in the red of Teesside. Here it earned a small return from a night of immense frustration, as Boro laboured in attempting to cancel out Dean Bowditch's early opener.
It was certainly harsh on the Dons, who defended like Trojans for over 80 minutes before finally succumbing when their legs were leaden. Still, a point against the promotion favourites is not to be sniffed at.
