Owner Vincent Tan jets in the UK for a rare visit on Thursday and will spend sometime in Cardiff

Tuesday 9th February 2016

By Steve Tucker

The top brass at Cardiff City are currently undecided over the future of Bluebirds’ manager Russell Slade.

Slade’s contract is up in the summer and the manager recently insisted he is yet to open negotiations about the possibility of signing a new one.

We understand that within the club the decision has been taken to review the situation possibly next month or perhaps even as late as the end of the campaign.

Owner Vincent Tan jets into the UK for a rare visit on Thursday and will spend sometime in Cardiff. He will also attend the Bluebirds’ clash against Charlton at The Valley on Saturday.

It is thought Tan, the man who appointed Slade, is yet to make his mind up his manager’s future. He will meet with Slade during his visit this week, but the club insists no specific talks are currently on the agenda about Slade’s future at the club or a new deal.

Slade’s Bluebirds are currently five-points off the Championship play-off places and the Bluebirds’ hierarchy are said to be keen to see how things pan out this term before tying themselves to a commitment or otherwise when it comes to the manager.

Slade himself is said to be ‘relaxed’ with that situation.

With the club having finally settled its historic debt with main creditor Langston, Tan is said to be moving forward to see the club put on a sounder financial footing.

As WalesOnline revealed yesterday, Tan is poised to convert even more of the money the club owe him into equity. We have been told the Malaysian billionaire will soon announce a ‘significant’ amount of the money he has ploughed into the club will be transferred into shares instead.

Absolute bollocks by Tucker, how he's even allowed in the same room to do interviews with slade i don't know. He was brought in to do the dirty work other managers wouldn't do that's why he's here and not another, he's doing more than expected considering half the numbskulls on here said we be bottom half this season which is the same donuts that are crying now because we are not ten ponts clear at the top.
He's going to finish the season either way and who knows what next only the lunatic TAN does :bluescarf:

The Cardiff City heirarchy have not yet made a decision on Manager Russell Slade’s future at the club according to Wales Online.

It is understood that a new deal is yet to be offered to Slade and the Cardiff City Manager recently admitted that he was unsure whether he would still be in charge of The Bluebirds next season.

City Owner Vincent Tan is expected to visit the UK later this week and will attend Saturday’s Championship fixture against struggling Charlton Athletic at The Valley. It is not known whether Russell Slade’s future will be on the agenda during Tan’s visit.

Cardiff City are currently 5 points behind the Championship Play Off places and the club’s heirarchy may wait to see whether The Bluebirds reach the end of season Play Offs before discussing their plans for next season.

While the club have had a decent season in the Championship, their current league position is believed to be lower than the position expected by the Cardiff City Board. The Bluebirds’ dwindling home attendances have also become a concern in recent months.

After Saturday’s trip to The Valley, Cardiff City face a real test of their promotion credentials with a home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion before a tough trip to Middlesbrough.

I am a numbskull for not believing in Slade to get us in top 10, never a donut though, plenty of games left mind, it's looking fairly likely we will finish mid-table.
