This was what was put before the Court

Cardiff City's legal dispute with Langston will be heard at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Former owner Sam Hammam says current backer Vincent Tan and the club are being sued over nearly £6m owed to creditors Langston.

Cardiff want to know the identity of the corporation before paying £5.75m, which was due on 30 January 2015.

The hearing is expected to consist mainly of legal arguments between the two parties ahead of a possible trial.

Hammam - who owned the club from 2000 to 2006 - has been widely seen as Langston's representative.

However, Cardiff's chairman Mehmet Dalman claims Hammam has denied acting for the company.

'Tan should honour guarantee'

In a statement, the Lebanese businessman puts the onus for the outstanding payment on Tan.

"Court proceedings have been issued against Vincent Tan to pay an amount of £5.75 million plus interest," the statement said.

"This amount is due to be paid by the club and Mr Tan legally and personally guaranteed payment in the event of non-payment by the club.

"This amount is the balance due under the settlement agreement with Langston as unfortunately Mr Tan and the club are now in default with the legally agreed payments.

"Legally the demand is from both the club and Mr Tan, but it is for Mr Tan to honour the guarantee he has given or to use his resources to allow the club to pay its debts."

Several men have "brought our club to its knees for different reasons" but now is not the time for recriminations. If, as suggested, this matter is about to be closed then the only thing we should concern ourselves in the future!

Far too much looking back at past misdemeanours and (IMHO) so far as lessons have been learned then we should all move on together for the future benefit of Cardiff City FC

We can learn from the past but we cannot change it. However, we can shape the future, so long as everyone is pulling in the same direction and lessons from the past (good or bad) are learned from ;) :ayatollah:

Cardiff City will pay Langston in the region of £5m within 30 days as it emerges Langston is a company run and owned by Sam Hammam
Plus £5mill if Cardiff are ever promoted

I would think there had to have been a strong desire here to maintain a corporate veil but as to why who knows.

We are not on our knees if you compare how bad things were back in the 70-80-90's. Both men have made huge mistakes but our club has moved on by light-years compared with last decades of the 20th century.

I just pray the in fighting will stop and club becomes more street wise. It's ironic that this has been the best transfer window in years yet we never spent a penny!

Langston managed and owned by Sam Hammam - this is something I would never have believed to be true :o
