They have a new song for the team to run out to now by Status Quo 'get down, deeper and down'

To be honest years ago and up to only a few years ago I was never bothered by them, they were to me just a joke club, but in recent years, the abuse & wind ups we have received from them has finally made me notice them.

I wonder how they would feel if they came down and we some how managed to go up?

They'll be back where they belong next season Annis, in the Championship.

Imagine the atmosphere at our ground if we're on our way to making the play-offs on the day they get relegated.

Unfortunately I think there's very little chance of us going up. But I will love it if they go down, they need to get off their high horse. Their fans have short memories, they used to be a tiny club compared to us.

Ned, it would be unbelievable, but as far as I concerned just a dream that both can happen, but as they say, you can never say never and dreams do come true :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Swansea would go into melt down overdrive if they were relegated, as they have had it good for so long. Also what would happen to all there world academy's. I don't think we are lucky enough for them to come down and for us to go up though you can only hope.

First time i have watched them live (on tv) today, don't look like they have 2 goals in them. It is all well and good starving the opposition of the ball, but you must do something with it occasionally...

West ham look poor, I'll have to remember they are in a false position for my boxing day football coupon.

Much as I dislike them I think with a good manager they will survive. Villa are doomed. Geordies, mackems, Norwich, Bournemouth and west brom are in as mch trouble as the jacks. I just hope that they get a manager who doesn't work out for them.

Bloody hell Ian, You hate them beyond and go on all their sites etc

If they stay up, then as I've said before the League Tables don't lie, your there because you deserve to be there and at the moment we are 8th and they are bottom 3 because that's where we both deserve to be :ayatollah:

They won't go down, but it shows all these drama queens on here crying about how they are "light years" ahead of us is nonsense. We could go up with the right manager, they could go down with the wrong one. We are 1 decision apart.

Cant see them going down but it would make next season interesting

Re: ' MERRY XMAS SWANSEA '

They have fewer points than we had at this stage of the season during our 1 season in the PL,for but we then appointed OGS which turned out to be a disaster and the rest is history.

Getting the right manager is a HUGE decision for them and being where they are won't make that easy. They have a run of games where the should pick up points, if they don't they have big problems.

To be honest I was very mature about things when they got promoted although it was like salt in the wounds scenario for us as we were always that bit closer than them at going up in recent years. I said to some of thier fans and others - fair play you've got it right and we could probably take a leaf out of your book - only to have a lot of derogatory comments fired back at me about the poor state and joke of a club Cardiff city a re in and just laughed at us suffering with rebrand issues etc etc. Then thier came relegation for us and again thier fans rubbed salt in our wounds rather than being a good sport (I'm not speaking for all thier fans but the ones I've talked to or seen comments from). They said things like that it is relief that they will not have to put up with and watch the poor football that the championship throws at them and watch teams who are quite frankly rubbish for a long long time. And that they are challenging for top for and we are going to hit the bottom of the pit etc etc. They are miles ahead of us in every aspect of football and we are just something on the bottom of thier shoe!

Well you know what perhaps there's such thing as karma and for all those fans who were quite up themselves about thier club may have a reality check if not this season - soon! Things can change very quickly and comments such as the above people don't forget. Yes of course many of us used to bound about stating some similar comments such as we are the largest greatest club in Wales for which underneath it all I think we still our - time guys time - things will turn around...you'll see. :bluescarf:

I'm not so sure they will be safe. Chelsea and Bournemouth pulling away, probably Newcastle and big Sam will get Sunderland higher up for sure. I've actually met some decent jacks who said they wouldn't mind being relegated, claiming it's all to different from what they were brought up on so to speak. Trying to find the right manager for a relegation battle now won't be easy.

They will need a Pulis, Poyet or Pardoe type manager who are experienced at keeping teams like them up. Rumours are they are trying to attract a high profile person like Bielsa. That could be their first mistake since getting promoted to the premier.

It would be brilliant if they came down, however I'm sure they wouldn't be a £100m plus it debt after being in the Premier League therefore lets not be too smug and focus on support our own club.

Excellent post. I think they have too much to go down. Hope I'm wrong because I'd love it if they went down. Just imagine what radio Wales would do. Simon Davies, Leigton James and Ian Walsh would have to be put in suicide watch.

They must make the new manager the right choice other wise they will be in deep trouble :D To their credit they have nearly always made the good choice apart from that Poalo Sousa guy so we'll see.Could be interesting!!

They'll survive. I think Curtis would be a great manager. Been there for years and heard the players get along with him.

The vermin will be fine.

I don't often comment about them tramps on our site but i wouldn't be so sure about them not going down, they only have 15 points (we had 19 at this stage) and will need at least another 20 in the second half of the season to stay up.
