Many managers have a clause in their contracts that....

they are entitlied to a percentage of sell-on fees for players they bring in and then move on (according to Harry Redknapp). So it got me thinking if Russell Slade who is reported to be one of the cheapest managers in this league would he have a similar
agreement in place to help improve his income because the amount of cheap players he's brought in but unfortunately for him haven't worked out seems higher than previous managers.

Just a thought

Makes sense. Only takes one or a few to hit it off and he's quids in. Look at the players Southampton brought through all at once and other clubs have done it before them like Man United and so forth. I wouldn't be surprised if this is true Brownie tbf.

Shame there is no clause working the other way as MM and Ole would owe the club more than a few bob considering their terrible transfer activity.

that makes sense ...a bit of a bonus for cutting the wage bill.

Presumably he would also have a bonus for position in the league ? You would hope so, otherwise he could sell the lot !

The best transfer Redknapp benefited from was when Lassana Diarra was sold by Pompey to Real Madrid for £18.8 million who he brought from Arsenal for £5 million.

Following on from this is the real reason why so many players are going out on loan is really about getting the players permenant deals with the clubs so that even if a profit of £50k 'could' still make Slade 10% of that ?
