PSG PLOT HUGE RONALDO DEAL

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to break the bank to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Daily Mirror.

Should the Real Madrid star choose to leave the Bernabeu for the Parc des Princes, he would be in line for a staggering £250,000-a-week after tax.

The four-time Ballon d’Or winner is viewed as an ideal successor to current PSG star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and the Ligue 1 club are prepared to better the £220,000-a-week the Sweden international earns in an attempt to lure Ronaldo.

SAINTS TO RESIST MANE APPROACH

Louis van Gaal will reattempt to sign Sadio Mane in January but Southampton are set to resist Manchester United’s attempt, according to the Daily Mail.

Having reportedly failed to sign the Senegal international in the summer, United are poised to make a second approach in January, with the Reds believed to be preparing a similar £20million bid.

Despite this, there is a growing feeling at St Mary’s that Mane will leave at the end of the season, but Ronald Koeman is determined to keep him until then as he views him as vital to his plans.

ROOFE ON FIRE

Newcastle and Stoke have entered the race to sign in-form Oxford United star Kemar Roofe, according to The Sun.

The two Premier League clubs are believed to have sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old in action at Dagenham on Saturday, during which he bagged his 11th goal of a stellar season.

Roofe has also attracted interest from Championship side MK Dons who are reportedly trying to snare the midfielder in January with a £500,000 bid.
