Approaches have been made to tempt Rooney to finish his career in the cash-rich Chinese Super League, despite having three years left to run on his current deal at Old Trafford.
The Sun claim Chinese clubs, boosted by a new £830million television deal, are seeking a global superstar to be the face of the league and deem Rooney to be a viable target.
