Leeds United, Cardiff City and Reading are reportedly interested in Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt.




Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has told Eurosport that Liam Bridcutt is the only player in his squad who could leave.

"I read in the paper yesterday I was selling Defoe,” said the former Newcastle United and West Ham United boss. “This is the trouble with the window coming in January.

"I'm selling everyone apparently, then I'm asking them to play. The only one (who might move) is Liam Bridcutt. Everyone else I'm asking to come to the fight.”

Bridcutt at Championship level is quality. Was a rock for Brighton. Would be a very good signing. Hope we pull it off!

Bridcutt is miles better than anything we have got in the middle of the park excluding Ralls.. He dominated this league whilst at Brighton and would be a superb signing but then we target someone like him on a decent wage but don't go after a Grabban type player due to wages when that's what we need more than anything.. Be well chuffed if we got him tho but still

What happened so drastically that we had him and then lost him? Player must be swayed by the smallest of things?
