Goal scorer for N Ireland

Anyone recognise the second goal scorer for N Ireland tonight:- .........???

Clue - he was too small for a goal keeper for a Welsh club....

He is Josh Magennis ex CCFC goal keeper deemed by our club as not big enough for a goal keeper so we put him in the out field first as a right back then as an attacker by Niel Ardley, told he would not make so he was released, reports are he is an accomplished defender as well as a good striker and now a N Ireland international, So not only did we give Gestede away but this guy too, sometimes our club are beyond belief.

Fair play to him

But the way you say city let him go , even now he wouldn't make our team so no we did not lose out on nothing at all

He come on as a sub for us a few times years ago I'm sure. He was shit so we let him go I'm sure he broke his leg and we released him. Obviously he's improved.

Kilmarnock forward Magennis – a converted goalkeeper who had never scored an international goal before – made it two with a deft header and the inspirational Davis nodded in his second just before the hour mark.

The Southampton midfielder was just a year old when Billy Bingham’s boys went to Mexico and, having described this match as the biggest of his career at his pre-game press conference, he was a fitting figurehead.

So too Magennis, whose low profile and unique back story epitomise the spirit in this squad.

He would not have been on the pitch had Kyle Lafferty not been suspended – nor if he had made it with the gloves at Cardiff as a teenager.

Well done to the lad, but no disrespect to Kilmarnock but yes it's Kilmarnock to read posts saying another we let go, well. :laughing5: :laughing6: :laughing5: :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:
