El Clasico tickets in the bag

Wed Oct 07, 2015 11:34 pm

End of November and it's back over to Madrid for me to see family and take in my first Real/Barca game!!!

Also going to take time out and visit the Valley of the Fallen which is were Franco is buried as it's supposed to be a place to see but because it's around an hour out of Madrid I haven't really had the time to visit it before during my Madrid trips. Has anyone on here been there ?

Also currently reading El Clasico which was written by Richard Fitzpatrick and gives you the history of both teams and it's political backgrounds and it's fantastic so far so would highly recommend it to any football book lovers out there

You'll have a great time at the match. We went to the Nou camp a few years ago to watch the El Clasico. It was the cup match and the stadium was full. Absolutely fanatical the people were there and the stadium was noisy! Great experience but even this doesn't beat a good Cardiff home match against Bristol or Swansea. In my opinion anyway :bluebird: :bluescarf: having said that its just breathtaking how big the stadium is and how many people are in there! I'd imagine it will be the same for you when you go to Madrid. Have a great time mate! :bluescarf:

Could you let me have some advice on the best chance of getting tickets (not for this season)? My son will be 18 in the next couple of years and would love to get him this special treat. I don't mind if its at the Bernabeu or Camp Nou. Thanks

I've been to other games out there in the Champions League and other league games but not El Clasico.

Regarding tickets Im lucky I've got family out there but you can easily get them on the street for far less than what is on these touting websites and even the clubs website itself for face value. However what many don't realise is that it's Spanish law that the clubs have to sell 10% of their tickets on the day of the game so if you can get there very early then that could be an option. Tickets aren't cheap through, I paid €200 euros of the Champions League semi final last time I was there and €150 for this game but it's worth it

Thanks for the reply. Interesting to hear about the 10% match day ticket allocation.

Im also thinking about joining as a club member as that could be another way to apply for the tickets.

I've been to both Barca and Madrid and had a tour of the stadiums but it would be awesome to go and watch a game.

I hope you have a great time and experience at the El Clasico. :)

Cheers

Maybe someone will die of a heart attack on your travels.

More advertising material for you.

like it or not the advertising helped create sales which paid for this trip. It actually helped us get a contract with the Rugby World Cup and we had lads help get stadiums ready for the games.

Not a fan.

Personally I wouldn't mock anyone to make a few quid. I don't care about money that much.

Money at the expense of morals. But people are forgetful and I think you know it. Keep quiet and it'll blow over. We'll move onto the next outrage.

But whatever, you haven't killed anyone so there we are.
